Immersed in the ancient city, our restaurant Mater Terrae is an example of ecological and solar architecture. In prder to build it we have used wood systems, hemp bricks, straw panels and pressed clay. No metals or plastics, no toxic varnish. The electric fittings have been screened. The restaurant is conceived for giving a total sense of comfort, in absolute harmony with our philosophy of a deep green welcome.
You could conceive it as a great, pleasant and elegant organism built from the Earth and the Sun. It has really been the Sun light that has made growing the hemp and the straw; that has launched into the sky the trees of which the wood structures that sustain it have been made. A restaurant which has been certified by international organisms of ecological control as House Climate.
Did you expect it like that, on the rooftops of the Baroque Rome?
